Course objective: Micro-Needling is recognized as one of the most advanced skin care treatments which has become extremely popular within the medical esthetics profession over the last ten years, running parallel to some RF and Laser modalities. Micro Needling is also known as collagen induction therapy, which utilizes very small needles to stimulate the skin. These microscopic needles range from 6-12 per single sterile cartridge and are placed in an electronic handheld device to facilitate the needles to operate in a vertical motion, creating thousands of channels into the skin. Efficacy is based upon the speed and depth of the needle operation, in conjunction to proper preparation of each client.

There are many benefits in receiving a Micro Needling procedure. It is well known for improvement in the appearance of rhytids, aka wrinkles, acne scarring, hyper pigmentation, loss of elasticity, and photo damage. Supportive topicals; HA, proteins, growth factors are used during the treatment to penetrate deeper into the skin, hence stimulating collagen fibers offering accelerated skin rejuvenation.
Key points to understand in this advanced training are the knowledge and understanding of critical sanitation measures; avoiding cross contamination, technique, client profiling and contraindications.
Each practitioner must thoroughly understand the skins wound healing and inflammation process, in conjunction to supporting the skin both; pre and post care.
